About
Dr. Ziwei (Kitty) Sun was born in Qingdao, China, and raised in White Rock, BC. She earned her Doctor of Optometry from the University of California, Berkeley, after completing a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science through the University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Medicine.
Throughout her clinical rotations, Dr. Sun gained broad experience in ocular disease management and specialty eye care. At Omni Eye Services in New Jersey, she worked closely with retina and cataract/glaucoma specialists. At the Portland VA Medical Center, she cared for a largely geriatric patient population and managed a wide range of ocular conditions. She also trained at UC Berkeley’s Meredith Morgan Eye Center, where she further developed her skills in binocular vision, advanced corneal and contact lens care, and myopia management.
Dr. Sun is committed to providing thoughtful, individualized care and helping every patient feel comfortable, heard, and well informed about their eye health.
In her free time, Dr. Sun enjoys playing tennis, attending Lagree classes, trying new recipes, travelling, and spending time by the water.
