Children & Infant Eye Exam
Eye exams for children are extremely important.
Eyelab is tailored for children’s eye exams.
Our doctors are trained to see children from 6 months to 18 years old. Using our specialty equipment, we can assess different aspects of your child’s vision including their visual acuity, muscle balance and ocular health.
What is the process of the exam?
Each exam is designed according to your child’s age, since one in five children has a vision disorder.
We usually do all objective testing for infants and toddlers, meaning that they don’t need to speak or respond during the test. Our main focus for children is to ensure that the early ages of vision development are on track.
Children 18 years and younger with a valid B.C. Medical Services Plan (MSP) Care Card never pay any additional fees for their eye exams.
Adult & Senior Eye Exam
At Eyelab, our commitment is to give you a thorough eye exam.
One of our latest technologies is the Optical Coherence Tomography/Retinal Camera, which takes retinal photos and an ultrasound of the different layers of the retina. This technology helps us diagnose glaucoma or any retinal disorders earlier than regular retinal photos or dilated fundus exams.
We have invested heavily in state of the art technology to provide the most comprehensive eye exam we can deliver.
